For new students and their parents

Whether this is your first time away from home or you may have tried being on an exchange programme, attended another boarding school or a continuation school you still might have some questions about life at the boarding school at Grenaa Gymnasium. We are interested in you

Living at the boarding school is an experience best described as leaving home while living with your family. We are interested in your well-being and make sure that you get home safely at night and take care of your school work. All in all many of the same things that your family would also take interest in.

Freedom and security at the same time

You are free to do as wish, as long as you follow the rules that are made so that we all can live together happily at the boarding school. There are no fixed bedtimes and no one will ask you to account for your what you've been doing or where you've been, as long as we can see that you're happy. But we will not leave you alone if you seem unhappy, in the same way that your parents will help you with your troubles, no matter what they might be. At the boarding school you get your own contact teacher, to whom you are closely connected.
